CELLAR NOTES

And So To London

Alex Haruni

I left New York on Tuesday evening for a couple of days in London before going home. I managed to give a short presentation to a group from the UJIA on Wednedsay night and made an appearance at a wine tasting in Hendon on Thursday

UJIA Event in London

So, I'm now in London, my hometown and again very much on the go. I received a panicked call from Yehuda from Kedem on Wednesday morning, that he had a wine tasting that evening and would I give a short presentation about the winery and the wines. I was completely knackered but happy to attend the event as presenting the winery and the wines was the whole point of my trip.

About 120 young 20-30 something’s attended the event and enjoyed Dalton and some other wines. It was actually quite meaningful to talk to this group, as my family was very closely associated to the JIA as it was then whilst I was growing up and the whole raison d’être of the winery was to help develop the Galilee, which was the focus of this fund raising group.

The following day, I spent time with John, our consultant and then in the afternoon I met with Morris from Kedem and went with him to a wine tasting in Hendon.

Tomorrow I have an early start for an 8 am flight back home.
