Safsufa is a series of Mevushal wines that are sold out side of Israel. Initially wines were aimed at the kosher on-trade premises but the wine slowly developed a momentum of it’s own and now has become quite successful. I have long felt that the old label didn’t really do the wine much justice; it was quite heavy and dowdy. This year I commissioned new labels for the series to bring the packaging more up to date with an up-beat look and a quality feel. The effect has been achieved using a combination offset printing, embossing and selective varnish using a silk-screen process.
I think that the result is very impressive.
